A native of Virginia, I moved to Los Angeles in 1995 with my degree in Performing Arts. I was eager to work in Hollywood as an actor and now, many years later, I act as an Esthetician.

​Getting my start as a licensed Esthetician in 2003, I trained at a well known waxing salon in Sherman Oaks, California. Although this was an invaluable  learning experience, I grew increasingly frustrated with the abundant turnover and high pressure to finish each client as quickly as possible so that I could begin on the next one. This factory type approach was not what I wanted to offer clients. Later, in 2004, I decided to branch out on my own and formed Skincare By Lynette, operating independently out of various salons in the Pasadena, La Cañada, and Burbank locales. Operating as sole proprietor has allowed me the opportunity to offer clients a very personalized and custom experience on a highly consistent basis while continuing to work efficiently but never expediting the process. Finally, in 2024, I returned to South Pasadena with a rebranding and thus, Honey Buns Wax & Skin Boutique was born, offering the same great personalized service with over 21 years of experience.
